"A Child

will make love stronger, days shorter, nights longer, home happier, the past forgotten, and the future worth living for."

3rd Nephi 17:21-23 "And when he had said these words, he wept, and the multitude bare record of it, and he took their little children, one by one, and blessed them, and prayed unto the Father for them. And when he had done this he wept again; And he spake unto the multitude, and said unto them; Behold your little ones.."
Treat everyone with politeness, even those who are rude to you - not because they are nice, but because you are. ~Author Unknown

Rules To Live By....loved this! so I am sharing!

Written By Regina Brett, 90 years old, of The

Plain Dealer, Cleveland , Ohio

"To celebrate growing older, I once wrote the 45 lessons life taught me.. It is the most-requested column I've ever written. My odometer rolled over to 90 in August, so here is the column once more."

1. Life isn't fair, but it's still good.

2. When in doubt, just take the next small step.

3. Life is too short to waste time hating anyone.

4. Your job won't take care of you when you are sick. Your friends and parents will. Stay in touch.

5. Pay off your credit cards every month.

6. You don't have to win every argument. agree to disagree.

7. Cry with someone. It's more healing than crying alone.

8. It's OK to get angry with God. He can take it.

9. Save for retirement starting with your first paycheck.

10. When it comes to chocolate, resistance is futile.

11. Make peace with your past so it won't screw up the present.

12. It's OK to let your children see you cry.

13. Don't compare your life to others. You have no idea what their journey is all about.

14. If a relationship has to be a secret, you shouldn't be in it.

15. Everything can change in the blink of an eye. But don't worry; God never blinks.

16. Take a deep breath. It calms the mind.

17. Get rid of anything that isn't useful, beautiful or joyful.

18. Whatever doesn't kill you really does make you stronger.

19. It's never too late to have a happy childhood. But the second one is up to you and no one else.

20. When it comes to going after what you love in life, don't take no for an answer.

21. Burn the candles, use the nice sheets, wear the fancy lingerie. Don't save it for a special occasion. Today is special.

22. Over prepare, then go with the flow.

23. Be eccentric now. Don't wait for old age to wear purple.

24. No one is in charge of your happiness but you.

25. Frame every so-called disaster with these words, ''In five years, will this matter?"

26. Always choose life.

27. Forgive everyone everything.

28. What other people think of you is none of your business.

29. Time heals almost everything. Give time, time.

30. However good or bad a situation is, it will change.

31. Don't take yourself so seriously. No one else does.

32. Believe in miracles.

33. God loves you because of who God is, not because of anything you did or didn't do.

34. Don't audit life. Show up and make the most of it now..

35. Growing old beats the alternative -- dying young.

36. Your children get only one childhood.

37. All that truly matters in the end is that you loved.

38. Get outside every day. Miracles are waiting everywhere.

39. If we all threw our problems in a pile and saw everyone else's, we'd grab ours back.

40. Envy is a waste of time. You already have all you need.

41. The best is yet to come.

42. No matter how you feel, get up, dress up and show up.

43. Yield.

44. Life isn't tied with a bow, but it's still a gift.

Remembering that September Day......9-11-01

Remembering those who lost a loved one, those who are fighting to keep terror out of the USA...those who are serving in the Military to keep us safe.....We love you! Hang your flag in their Honor!

That September Day
Where were you when the world stopped turning
That September day,
Out in the yard with your wife and children
Or workin' on some stage in LA
Did you stand there in shock
At the sight of that black smoke risin' against that blue sky
Did you shout out in anger and fear for your neighbor
Or did you just sit down and cry
Did you weep for the children who lost their dear loved ones
Pray for the ones who don't know
Did you rejoice for the people who walked from the rubble
And sob for the ones left below
Did you burst out in pride for the Red, White and Blue
And the heroes who died just doing what they do
Did you look up to heaven for some kind of answer
And look at yourself and what really matters.
*I'm just a singer of simple songs
I'm not a real political man
I watch CNN but I'm not sure I can tell you
The difference in Iraq and Iran
I know Jesus and I talk to God
And I remember this from when I was young
Faith, Hope and Love are some of the good things he gave us
And the greatest is Love.*
Where were you when the world stopped turning
That September day
Teachin' a class full of innocent children
Driving down some cold interstate
Did you feel guilty cause you're a survivor
In a crowded room did you feel alone
Did you call up your mother and tell her you lover her
Did you dust off that Bible at home
Did you open your eyes and hope it never happened
Close your eyes and not got to sleep
Did you notice the sunset for the first time in ages
Did you speak to some stranger on the street
Did you lay down at night and think of tomorrow
Go out and by you a gun
Did you turn off that violent old movie you're watchin'
And turn on 'I love Lucy' re-runs
Did you go to church and hold hands with some strangers
Stand in line and give your own blood
Did you just stay home and cling tight to your family
Thank God you had somebody to love..
*I know Jesus and I talk to God
And I remember this from when I was young
Faith, Hope and Love are some good things he gave us
And the greatest is Love!* (Alan Jackson)
God be with you!

She wanted a sports themed cake...and I found these great toys filled with bubble gum at our local gas station! (serious) and on the inside..they have these cute little mini's only for key chains which worked super great on the mini cake! TOO cute! I love my star pan...can use it for so many things! BUT for real...isn't this one of the CUTEST little one year old's ever! I so think so...he wasn't to sure about the whole thing at first but totally got into it as we laughed and snapped pictures for a really long time! :)

"It's my birthday and I'll cry if I want to..cry if I want...you'd cry too if it happened to you!..." lol..was not happy until....
awesome A.T (me) ;) showed up with the M&M's....chocolate cures just about anything!

His cute little mini cake...also made cupcakes for all the little people there! Chocolate cake with cream cheese frosting...even soft frosting..yum! There was so much yellow...the M&M's helped add some fun color!
