We did miss cousin Hadlee who was up in Alpin with her grandpa and grandma... :( and we also missed cousin Caroline who lives far away in Missouri...but...lots of fun was had by those who were able to come!... Our little Valerie is our free spirit! She is just so dang happy to be here! (and if you know her...you are nodding your head yes and smiling!) We love you ValVal...and we are SO very glad you are our little "Shlowbadonna!" (daddy'd knickname) Happy Birthday Sweetheart...Mommy is so glad to day was your "BEST DAY EVER!"

So excited by this gift! Her 1st Barbie! Her response was so awesome! (she was not expecting this for another year!...i know I am weird!) lol.. .but it made for a great birthday surprise!

She is growing up so fast...there is this awesome country song by Darius Rucker called "It won't be like this for long"...this little verse is at the end and so very true!...

It won’t be like this for long
One day soon that little girl is gonna be
All grown up and gone
Yeah, this phase is gonna fly by
So, he's tryin’ to hold on
Cause it won’t be like this for long.

Ya blink and they are born, ya blink again and they are in school...i need to stop blinkin! :)

Crazy Week....

I have no pictures for this post.....but some ramblings I just want to post. Monday, the girls and I headed to Richfield to pickup the new pool that I ordered on line because when I called the Richfield Walmart, they didn't have the particular size I wanted...sooo after 10 days of WAITING..(lol) it finally arrived only to find that they had several on the SHELF!!! of the one I ordered! Oh well....Rhett also started football camp tonight....the regular field is being seriously babysat right now do to serious damage to the field from the cities forth of July bang....serious enough he was worried about player injuries....arg! like he doesn't have enough to worry about and it was just sad because the Janitor that takes care of the field does a fabulous job! anyway.....so football camp has started and so far so good! (i love it when he comes home happy! lol! much thanks to all the coaches who were able to arrange their schedules to help...that helps a TON!!!)...then on Tuesday, we start setting up the pool, Kayla and the kids come up for the day to play and scrap...and even though the pool wasn't even 1/2 filled they just could not stand NOT playing in all that water.....so what the hey...we let them play....just before dinner we hear major screaming and here comes Dallin with a serious bloody lip....yup...stitches (oh...i do have a picture for this, the picture doesn't look as bad as it did when they were sewing it up! he was so brave!..) 4 of them....poor kid! He and Jen were playing a dunking game...(serious in like less than 2 ft of water!) and his face hit the bottom, the pool is on our car port...so the bottom is cement!....and split it open good! She felt so bad she gave me permission to send her to her ROOM!!! loL! I failed to mention that Valerie also lost her first tooth today....thanks to aunt Kayla and her amazingness with flipping those teeth out...Valerie didn't even feel it! (will post a picture soon...yet to be downloaded) Wednesday comes and goes because Dallin couldn't swim that day (48 hours with NO water!) It was pretty much a lazy day! Then Thursday arrived and I had decided to clean out the garage (well at least start it) I was in and out of the house the whole day...while the kids played in the yard and the pool...well Dallin is such a water dog that once in the pool not much can get him out...today, not even FOOD! (bad idea!) he was good for most of the day and wore a shirt, but about the last 2 hours of pool time he took his shirt off...i was too busy (bad mom) and sent him in to have his dad put sun screen on his back, tummy, face.....out he came back in the pool (later found out...he put sunblock on his tummy only...you can tell by the way the sun burnt his unprotected skin!) and was sun burned! OUCH!...mean while Valerie did have her dad sunblock her little body...all except what is covered by the swim suit...right....well....who would of known that her little swim suit rode up on the bum and totally sunburned her little bum cheeks! OUCH....after dinner I found her in the living room with her t-shirt (daddies) up and her shorts (panties hurt) down and her little bum up against the blower on the AC.....sad but funny! Well, after dinner...we were visiting around the table and Dallin was standing my the sliding glass door and talking to Rhett...I now don't even remember the conversation....one minute he was standing there and what looked like to me was him stepping back and tripped....NOT he totally passed out! Went down flat on his poor sunburned face...Rhett asked him what he was doing and there was NO response...then his legs and arms started to hit the floor....a seizure of some kind! SCARED US TO DEATH!...it was so fast! I said..."I think he is having a seizure", Rhett kneeled down and said "Dallin" this poor kid looked up at Rhett and said "daddy, what happened? I think I blacked out"....."it felt like i was under water.".....he was pretty dazed and confused...didn't remember the conversation - remembered drinking a glass of milk about 15 minutes before the incident. He was totally pale underneath his "tan" and really scared....conclusion...to much sun, not enough fluids! Lucky, lesson learned! WOW! Rhett (such a nice calm dad!) stayed up with him and made him drink gator aid every 15 min until after midnight and ever hour after that until 4 am...then Dallin came and got in bed with mom in our room...he was so miserable! :( Friday - another pretty normal day...(thank goodness) went to the park with Callie and Jenny...another really hot day....in which Dallin stayed out of! he was pretty tired most of the day... Saturday (today) today, the kids did play in the pool for ONE hour only! lol! and sun blocked them myself!!!! Dallin is really sore...poor kid (i keep saying that!) has blisters on his shoulders... :( thank goodness for Apple Cider Vinegar! It works! and he said that after I gave him a nice PICKLING he felt so much better! I found online many home remidies for sunburns and blisters....Apple Cider Vinegar is something we always have on hand...tomorrow now that the blisters i guess you could say have popped, I am going to do green tea bags (in water until really wet, squeeze out liquid) and lay on the blister ed areas....he is really sore...and is wearing my t-shirts because his aren't loose enough! So sad! It is soo very important to use sunblock! My lesson....never be to busy to just sun block them myself. Side note though, Daddy would of done it if he would of asked (lesson learned by Dallin, take the time to get help! because right now life stinks! no pun intended)....another little sun WARNING!! this also happened on Friday...but I had an update today.....a small child is here in town visiting family and the parents thought he was outside playing with the older cousins. At some point he apparently opened a car door, climbed inside and fell asleep. When found was not conscious...it was really hot yesterday and today (101-103)! This family and little boy is SOOO lucky....by the time he was life flighted out, he was eating Popsicle's and talking, from what I understand, he is being monitored to make sure his internal organs are all okay...WOW...how lucky this family really is! I know my kids have gotten into the car for whatever reason without my knowledge....they can take off soo fast....PLEASE....watch your kids ( i know I had a visit with mine about getting into cars without mom and dad and the dangers of the hot weather) this could have been such a tragic ordeal! The days are HOT! I kept my kids in today from 1-5...yes nearly drove me insane (LOL) but, I don't want a replay of Thursday....Happy Summer everyone and may you save yourself from nasty sunburns, heat exhaust - or worse! (okay...all done!)Whew!

Family, Friends, Food, Fun...the 4th of July!

Our cute little pioneer children...getting ready to be on the 4th of July float with the Primary....I had a lot of fun making the girls their outfits! I am a bit proud of myself...I did them by coping the out fit I had made for Jentrie's 18" doll...there for NO pattern! And they are dress ups so I wasn't to picky about them...Peyton wanted me to make him a costume too. I asked him what kind of costume he would ask for (thinking he would want a cowboy costume) and he said "a batman one!" lol! (opps...Peyton's hand...)

Peyton and J....um...wondering how old they really are here....

the kids on the float,

Valerie and her good friend A...

The kids were good sports, it was really hot today! And being in the parade itself, they didn't get to catch candy.....I was prepared to go buy them some...but they weren't disappointed (i think they did get some while on the float) but I had taken the to GIC to see Connie and she bought them a drink and I bought them a grab bag...and they were great with that! So glad they were easily bought off! loL!...then back to our house to change and for a 4th of July brunch, french toast, eggs, bacon....it was all yummy. Off to the park we went for an hour of fun....I stayed and helped out at a booth, Rhett brought the kids home and 2 were asleep (yay)...then the rest of the day was nice and relaxing! Jackson Reunion

Okay....I was pretty much toast for the reunion this year because it was the same weekend as the Relay....I had a 2 hour nap from 2:30 am to 4:30 am (thanks Kayla for the wake up texted!) and went back down to help with Breakfast (I had the doughnuts and cinnamon rolls from Thriftway Bakery) By the time I made it home it was 8 am....then we started to get ready to head to the Reunion. We left at 11...I slept a bit until Panguitch...but after that with 4 excited kids NOT HAPPENING! Then we arrived at Heaton's Ranch (love that place!) and everyone went in a different direction...so I decided to hang in the car and sleep...NOT....just as I had started to doze....BOOM!! Freak, thought a bomb went off! NO it was Rhett & Max sighting in their guns for the deer hunt...for the love! So I gave up on sleep for the rest of the day!...therefore...I was TOAST! The kids had a ball, Rhett and Brenan turned into Backgammon GEEKS...YES...GEEKS!!! The kids LOVE the pond and other than one injury (niece Kaylee) which could of been WAY worse...all was well! We finally got to meet our new little neice Anisa Jackson (Derek & Devon's little one...Trent & Cindy's grandaughter) and play with Brilee a little bit...Brian & Leah are moving to Kansas for Law School...which we are so excied for them but bummed to see them go so far away! (GOOD LUCK BRIAN!) It was nice to see everyone again and to be up Glendale Canyon (just love the smell up there...I know weird! lol!) We missed seeing Dave, Ashlee and baby Max, Ashley, Mavin & Jackson, Nikki, Derek & Dillon who is on his mission. We spent some time with Grandpa & Grandma (which is always great but grandpa was having a bad day - him and Peyton!) We took the kids down to the creek to skip rocks and play in the water...which was really fun! On the way home we stopped in Panguitch for a picnic at the Park and Rhett had a nap..then home we went!
(and I slept like the dead! Lol!)
