Happy BIrthday Valerie!

I cannot believe my little Valerie is "6" FINALLY! lol! She really starts the birthday countdown when school gets out! Our little cutie had a fun "Hawaiian" themed birthday party! She was so excited about the lei's, skirts and hair flower! (which I made and made them CHEAP!)...She had a hand full of friends over for a "swim"! We did miss cousin Hadlee who was up in Alpin with her grandpa and grandma... :( and we also missed cousin Caroline who lives far away in Missouri...but...lots of fun was had by those who were able to come!... Our little Valerie is our free spirit! She is just so dang happy to be here! (and if you know her...you are nodding your head yes and smiling!) We love you ValVal...and we are SO very glad you are our little "Shlowbadonna!" (daddy'd knickname) Happy Birthday Sweetheart...Mommy is so glad to day was your "BEST DAY EVER!"

A happy sun "shine" for our happy sun"shine!" She really wanted those pink glasses on her cake..this is what we came up with! :)












The goods...

Her fun little friends...(I made the grass skirts out of plastic tables cloths...seriously, just used the gathering stitch on my sewing machine...made 5 out of each color....plus had left over plastic for the blind fold used during the pinata')....Cannot wait to scrap her birthday page!

So excited by this gift! Her 1st Barbie! Her response was so awesome! (she was not expecting this for another year!...i know I am weird!) lol.. .but it made for a great birthday surprise!


She is growing up so fast...there is this awesome country song by Darius Rucker called "It won't be like this for long"...this little verse is at the end and so very true!...
