"A Child

will make love stronger, days shorter, nights longer, home happier, the past forgotten, and the future worth living for."

3rd Nephi 17:21-23 "And when he had said these words, he wept, and the multitude bare record of it, and he took their little children, one by one, and blessed them, and prayed unto the Father for them. And when he had done this he wept again; And he spake unto the multitude, and said unto them; Behold your little ones.."

UEA Weekend.....

First stop....BuRgEr BaR.....and the.....BiG BeN!!!
One night about 8 months ago, Rhett and I watched Guy with 'Dives, Diners and Drive Inns' on the food network, this burger joint was featured, Rhett couldn't wait to go! So on the way to Lagoon, we detoured UP to Roy on the hunt for the Burger Bar and the Big Ben...it is a hamburger 6" (at least) in diameter (we have been told it has shrunk over the years). Anyways it was huge! with a huge pile of fries. It was fun and the Pumpkin shake was so far the BeSt! Here are a few photo's of our time at the Burger Bar....

Daddy liked his double BiG BeN!

Next Stop....FINALLY...LaGoOn! Thanks to Kmti for our annual tickets...it is once again Lagoon Time!! This is the first time we've come to Lagoon in the late afternoon...(we like the mornings better) it was so crowded!!! But we were able to enjoy a few hours of rides. Valerie was not about to go inside the Park after seeing the Monster in the hot pink car at the entrance (lol) she was kicking and screaming and we had to all but drag her in the gate! Once inside, it was all okay...unless she saw some monster wandering around in costume!! Wow! And Dallin wasn't feeling so hot this trip and after a few rides he was okay just to hang out, which is so not like him...he LoVeS! Lagoon! Jentrie wasn't to impressed with 'Old Rickety'...she was being brave, but her face was ghost like and those tears she held back really wanted to fall! Little sweetie, after that she was okay to go with mom and the little kids to the kiddie park! We were able to get our 'Old time' picture done...we only do it about every three years now that are family is finished (there for a while we always had a new baby :) ~ Here are a few fun Lagoon Pictures...

It was enjoyed by all! But it was nice to get out of the crowd!

Scary Monster Valerie DID not like!!

Next stop....Uncle Max's in Ogden....
It has been 7 years since we were last in Ogden for an overnite stay! Max and Janet have moved into a new house some time ago and we have been looking forward to going and seeing their new/old house. It is a cool old home that has been added onto and redone. They also have apple, peach and pear trees, plus 3 cows and lots of land!!! (for the 3 cows) :) Uncle Max took the kids on a tractor ride (and let them drive!), helped them feed the cows and played "Teaky, Teaky Monster with them. They had lots of fun and didn't want to go home. Valerie said uncle Max's house was funner than Lagoon!! Janet had dinner ready and all the cousins except Ken and Nikki (who have moved to Kanab) were there for a visit. It was nice to see them and not be rushed for time. The next day Max, Rhett and Dallin went to Smith and Edwards (gun store) and to the range to sight in Rhett's gun for the big deer hunt on saturday. Dallin was even able to shoot (twice) uncle Max's semi automatic 306...he said it had a BIG kick! And the Girls went to Tia-Pan!!! (a great whole sale decorating crafty store!!) I called it 'Cabella's' for women! It was great fun and I kept within my $20.00 limit :) We then met up with the guys and had a lunch at Carls Jr. Then it was time to head south. Thanks to Uncle Max and Aunt Janet for letting us invade their quietness!! We certainly added noise! It was nice to see everyone! Leah, Brian and Brilee (so cute...doesn't like strangers :( Dave and Ashlie, Jen, Andrea and Kat!
Peyton loved feeding the cows..he is bonding with them :)

Baby Brilee 10 1/2 months, Max and Janet are expecting grandchild #2 in April with David and Ashlie!

Andrea and Jentrie, Jennifer (17) & Andrea (14), I cannot believe how these little girls have grown up. Jennifer is now a Sr. and Andrea is a freshman! It is so weird!!! They were so fun to watch, they are very good friends.

It was a fun, fast and crazy few days. We ended the trip by stopping in Orem to see Grandma and Grandpa Jackson, we went to Chuck a Rama for Jentrie's Birthday Dinner, back to the house to open birthday gifts where Jentrie recieved her very own mini Crock pot!!! She loves to help in the kitchen and now she can make her own pot of SOUP!! :) She loved it! Then on to home we went. Time flies when your having FUN!
